On Thursday, May 2nd in DC, STEMconnector will once again convene its members from across our entire network at the 2019 STEMconnector Summit for a day of insight, interaction, and reflection on achieving a sustainable STEM workforce. At last year’s Summit, we released the State of STEM report, which shed light on the forces and factors that underlie the STEM talent gap; hearing from leaders across industry, higher education, and nonprofits about what they are doing to combat gaps in fundamental skills, postsecondary education, geography, demographics, and belief.
This year’s Annual Summit will build on these lessons to define success across the STEM talent ecosystem, including how to measure the impact of programs, practice, and investments. Organized around the release of STEMconnector’s 2019 report, From Input to Impact: A Framework for Measuring Success Across the STEM Talent Ecosystem. The 2019 Annual STEMconnector Summit will be an opportunity for members to engage with this new research and walk away with insights and scalable models by which to define and measure the success of their STEM talent development investments.
Summit events are limited to STEMconnector members, and will kick off with a networking reception on May 1, hosted by the National Geographic Society. The Summit will take place the following day from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 2 at the United States Institute of Peace in Washington, DC.
