Intel Foundation: Together We Can Inspire Middle School Girls to become Future Technology Leaders and Innovators

The Intel Foundation seeks non-profit partners to broaden the participation of US middle-school girls in Technology, Engineering and Computer Science (TEC) to help close the technology equity and gender gaps.  Learn more at https://foundation.intel.com/rfp.

U.S. Middle School girls represent a wealth of unlimited potential for cultivating our future technology creators, innovators and leaders.  Yet, a vast majority of girls in disenfranchised communities continue to face a disproportionate number of obstacles in getting there.  The Intel Foundation seeks to tear down these barriers and reverse the trend which hampers these girls’ future contributions and excellence in technology fields.  Together, we can help transform the lives of girls waiting for the opportunity to thrive.  Through an open Request for Proposals (RFP), we are looking for partner organizations to help reduce today’s technology equity and gender gaps.  We are accepting proposals aimed at increasing the number of U.S. middle school girls that have access and are better prepared to enroll in technology, engineering, and computer science preparatory courses in high school.  If you are one of these innovative partner organizations, we want to hear from you!

The application period opens on September 17, 2018, and the deadline for proposals is October 26, by 5:00 p.m. Pacific.  Interested organizations may register for one of two Q&A webinars offered on September 25 and October 4, 2018. The RFP document, application, Q&A webinar information and other materials noting the scope of the challenge can be found at https://foundation.intel.com/rfp.
