Million Women Mentors - Women in Insurance Initiative held a panel discussion about imposter syndrome, how it affects our careers, and how to work through it.
Imposter syndrome is defined as a psychological pattern in which individuals doubt their skills, talents, or accomplishments and have a persistent internalized fear of being exposed as a "fraud.” So, how can we empower the women and minorities in the workplace who may feel this way?
The pandemic has only exacerbated these feelings. Working from home exposed much about the person behind the laptop – your home, your life, and your family. The concept of professionalism is shifting. How do you build confidence when you are in isolation? Or when your company is facing incredible challenges, and you are worried about keeping your job?
Featured speakers include:
- Ania Caruso, VP, Risk Management, The Plexus Groupe
- Lesley Reeter, VP Property/Casualty Claims, COUNTRY Financial
- Whitnee Dillard, Director, Diversity & Inclusion, Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (Big “I")
